Format
Junior Chemistry Challenge papers consist of ten multiple choice questions which probe topics encountered at GCSE. Then there are two 15 mark questions which introduce and develop a new area of chemistry pushing pupils beyond the GCSE syllabus.

This paper has a different format from the standard JCC paper. It has three longer questions of ten marks each which cover heat capacity, structure and bonding, and the Contact Process.
